Anecdote Bath

I was about to take my bath (which happens almost every day :D). Don’t worry, this is rated G. So feel free to allow the young ones read.

I pulled off my cloth (rolls eyes) and … I saw God’s blessings. Hehehe. I made for the shower and turned on the hot tap and the cold water that rushed out made me shake involuntarily. As I stabilized myself, I let the water run on my leg and slowly it got warmer as I enjoyed the transition. So I took the ‘shower tap’ (I’m sorry, don’t know the name ) and moved it up and down, savoring the heat.

And then in what seemed like seconds, the water stung me hard. It had gotten ‘suddenly’ hot and I had to hold myself from screaming loud. I frantically switched on the cold water
while the hot water still poured.

After few seconds, though it seemed like long minutes, the cold water stabilized and I was okay. Well not without some few burns here and there.

And then it came, my travail in the bathroom is how some of us live our lives. We’re presently involved in a host of wrong doings and because the water is still cold or slightly warm, we’re still enjoying it. The way it makes our hearts race and we’re loving it. How sad!!

Because like a scorpion, it will surely sting you suddenly. Its only a matter of time.

And I can tell you that even though some wounds heal, they leave horrible scars.

Doing good things (opening the cold tap) in order to play down or normalize the bad things we do doesn’t mirror the right path. Let me ask you, how enticing is an expensive jar of perfume with a dead cockroach or rat inside?

And just incase, incase you cannot resist the sudden transition of the hot water on your body, the escapade shouldn’t exceed the confines of your bathroom.

Garri???

g4Do you buy garri (cassava flour) without tasting it first?
Do you buy a car without first test-driving it?

Its only normal to taste garri before buying.
But that’s why its garri. Its extremely rare to attend a societal event and be served garri during the refreshment segment.

You don’t go to KFC, TFC or Barcelos and ask to taste their food before buying. You simply believe that it would be void of roaches and other evils.

So why should we use the phrase as an excuse?

Cars are been tested before been bought most times. But then again, who is more important. You or a piece of metal?

Now, I’m angry at this moment. How can you even compare yourself to garri? Garri??? For crying out loud, you’re the apple of His eyes not the garri of his eyes. And last I checked, you don’t take a bite from an apple before buying.

The fact is that comparing yourself to some inanimate object is painfully unacceptable considering the inherent unexpendable resource you have. You’re the most valuable thing ever created. Remember that.

MY BIRO

For a reason I cant fully comprehend, I love my Schneider pen. The ‘affair’ began in secondary school, I used it accidentally and the way the ink flowed and the tip of the pen were simply beautiful. The rest as they say is history.

Because I love my schneider pen, I hardly give it out. I went to church during the week and at the end of the service got into an intriguing conversation with a friend. Someone asked for a pen and I gladly gave mine away (I still dont know why).
On my way back home, I realized I wasn’t with my schneider anymore. He didn’t return it. I just laughed at myself and continued on my way.
The next day, while searching for an important document I saw something. It was a brand new Schneider pen smiling at me. Boy oh BOY!
I gave and got is the summary in one sentence.

Reminiscing I remember having a great attitude; i didnt regret the act. I especially wasnt expecting another. Truth be told, there was no way i could get another within the next 2 days.

I know this may sound lame and may reek of cliche, BUT I’m not bothered because He uses the foolish things to confound the wise. I was been reminded of the need to give my best with the whole of my heart, not expecting anything in return and ofcourse not regretting.
I believe I needed that message and thought to share it with you.

Pretty soon, I’ll be talking about how I gave my Mercedes Benz or FAVORITE aircraft… 😀
