Frankly speaking

I may not know your name.
I may not know your gender.
I may not know your age.
I may not know your race.
I may not understand your circumstances and frankly even if i try, I can never fully.
I may not know your background, your likes, your friends, foes, desires or dreads.

To summarize it, I may not know you.

But one thing I know, one thing I’m certain of is this;
You have a deep rooted desire, and for that desire to be fulfilled, you must overcome o-b-s-t-a-c-l-e-s.

JOBS

Contrary to what a lot might believe and say about jobs, I know there are jobs and millions of them at that.

I describe a job as anything you can do that can yield income.

How am I so certain of what I write? What gives me the assurance?

Well its because the world we live in are riddled with problems, solvable problems. For every problem lies a solution and that solution often has benefits. The greater the problem, the greater the profit should you find the solution.

If only we would spend more time on finding the solution to the problems that plague us, more jobs would be created.

Children I love

im2

ITS OFFICIAL!!! I love children. I just love them. Lemme tell you why

  • First off, they make you question the things you had so doggedly believed.
  • They are extremely creative set of individuals and very raw. They say things just as they are most times.
  • And they have fun out of the mundane things of life. She’ll drink a cup of water and laugh. He’ll walk, fall and laugh.

im1

  • They are curious and learn at the speed of light.
  • They are fearless.
  • They are out-of-the-box thinkers.

They’re quite inexhaustible but I’ll stop at this until I’m able to think up more

Ok excluding the part where they cry incessantly or frustrate you or do both simultaneously! they’re super great.

And just so we’re clear, just because I love children doesn’t mean I’m gonna have a football squad for a family. I’m a quality-not-quantity evangelist.

Have yourself a wonderful weekend!!!

Your Past

Past/ FutureWe all have a past, a past filled with a series of good and bad events. For some, the bad outweighs the good while for others its the other way around. Either way, it’s still a past.

Everything a human does is in order to achieve either or both of two things; gain pleasure and avoid pain.

That is why we sweep horrible events that have happened to us in the past under the carpet for fear of reliving the heartache, the extreme pain, the untold hardship, the inexplicable sorrow.

In our bid to forget our past, we’ve been brought on our knees again and again because of their effect.

Your past has something to do with your future. Take note of family trends, behaviors, your childhood. Truth be said, what you don’t know will LIMIT you. Please deal with it now because history and life always desire to go in loops. If you ignore it, it will resurface in the future.

I say this with the uttermost respect- even if your childhood has been horrible, so dark, the night shines in comparison to it there are good lessons that you should take out of it. Trying to cover it up just wouldn’t help.

A classic example is Joyce Meyer who has a ministry where she encourages people to live great lives even after being abused. She was sexually, emotionally and physically abused by her father, an event which began at age 13. And now? She’s encouraging people to live the best despite the past they might have encountered among other things.

She’s a reason I believe you can make a great future inspite of your gloomy past.

THE Flight Parable

I was privileged to be aboard a plane recently and as we ascended, I began to think of my heart’s desires. Then He spoke,“Will you trust me”? I guess you know who it was. Please permit me to explain the details of the flight.

The pilot welcomed us aboard the airplane and introduced himself and the crew members. The pilot explained that we would be ascending up to about 35,000 feet; then he continued with giving the latitude and longitude. He said we would experience some turbulence which was normal but we should be calm. He gave the time of our landing. As usual all phones were asked to be switched off according to the laws so that it wouldn’t interrupt connection between the plane and the tower. Despite that some still left their phones on. The journey began and as we ascended the woman beside me nearly crushed my ulna – she was so scared, terrified as a matter of fact. She got me almost scared for a while but then I realized I had done this before so there was no need. I removed my arm systematically to allow the arm rest take my place. While in the air, I had the duty of answering questions posed to me by those beside me. I continuously assured them that nothing unusual was going on. I saw the beautiful clouds all having distinct shapes and in different sizes. Everything looked so small including mountains. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t even recognize a single mountain. Sometimes, we had to descend slightly and the feeling was nauseous and tense. We experienced the expected turbulences. We arrived safely and everyone alighted.

That same voice in the first paragraph related the whole flight to life. At the time of writing this, I’m still being taught and shown things as this note is not something I thought about. Here goes:

The pilot is God and he has introduced himself to us (Rev 1:8). He has told us the Trinity and his angels are going to be with us throughout the journey. They that know their God shall fly like eagles Is (40:31). God says we should follow him but we will face many trials but should be glad still (1 pet 1:6). Those phones are distractions, worldly desires, things that can weaken the link and cause the journey to be tougher than it should be. Yet some still look behind after giving their life to him (Jeremiah 11:8). Even after his assurance that he is with us and will never leave us some are still afraid (Deut 31:8). Nevertheless, we are to help and encourage those who are afraid and help in any way we can (Jas 5:16). Remember the mountains (problems) didn’t really disappear; it just became insignificant because I was flying.
There may be times when it looks like your life is experiencing turbulence. He is still the pilot. He is ever beside, guiding and leading you the right way. Finally, He said we would get to our final destination- heaven.I know the plans I have for you, plans of good and not of evil but to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11)

If you want to fly high and right, fly with God…
