“Its a Lost Cause”. Sure ?

When they stood in front of the sea, a battalion raging behind them only few minutes away, it was a lost cause wasn’t it? HE said, “Stretch out your rod”. He obeyed. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When these same folks were thirsty to death with NO water in sight, it was a lost cause wasn’t it. HE said “strike the rock” and he obeyed. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When she spent all the money she had in a bid to save her unusual menstrual bleeding all to no avail. 18 years she struggled. It was a lost cause wasn’t it? She touched the helm of His garment. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When they told Him “he has been dead four days… if you had come earlier”. It was a lost cause wasn’t it? He prayed. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When they were both very old, waaaay past child bearing. A lost cause if you’ll agree. The promise came. They believed. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When he was promised a position of authority, some heads got jealous. He was sold to slavery. A lost cause wasn’t it? He held on and was faithful. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When her sons were about to be sold to slavery because of debts coped with a dead husband, a lost cause wasn’t it? she pleaded with the prophet. He told her what to do. She obeyed. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When the source of his strenght was cut, his eyes gouged, his pride taken away. It was a lost cause wasn’t it. He prayed one last prayer. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When her ONLY son died after waiting for so long, she travelled and proclaimed it was well. Another lost cause wasn’t it. She met him and pleaded he pray for him. He prayed. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When he lost everything he owned in one day, family and posessions inclusive. A lost cause wasn’t it? He refused to curse. We know the end end of the story don’t we?

When they were beaten horribly and thrown in prison with no hope of getting out, it was A lost cause wasn’t it? They prayed and sang. We know the end of the story don’t we?

When he had leprosy (with no cure whatsoever ) a lost cause wasn’t it? He went to the prophet and obeyed. We know the end of the story don’t we.

Above all, when they disobeyed by eating the forbidden, eternal damnation was bound. HE sent his ONLY son. We know the ‘end’ don’t we?

The ‘person’ behind all these is who I’ll call God of Lost Çauses.

The world is on your shoulders now perhaps, you want to give up because of all you’re facing . Its really really hard. No one seems to understand, you’re just fed up. The pain you feel is afh$2d90š….
